I believe, these days, that we are stimulated far beyond our evolution. The sheer volume of images overwhelms us. Colour brings focus and peace to our senses. It is the most powerful tool in a painters hands and for sensitive viewers can have enormous effect on their eyes, psyche, and feelings. Colour Field Painting is meant to be a pure experience
of colour
